Show de Talento y Noche en Gringolandia- Email 5/20/13

Hey family! Another awesome week. There were a ton of little miracles every single day and i think there is just too much to talk about. We are having a ton of success right now and the branch is about to take off. We had an awesome talent show this past friday night and we choreographed a dance (the four missionaries) and it was just  beyond fun. hahaha the ward LOVED it. We had to even go buy clothes for all of it and it was just a blast. haha we got to do it to the one direction group, that sings "thats what makes you beautiful" and it was just the cheesiest backstreet boy style thing. we even bought 80s looking clothes! haha i loved it. i was so in heaven doing that again. Anyway we had some families at that who hadn't been to church in awhile so the ward is just really excited. this week we have our noche en gringolandia activity, which is going to be SO fun. i actually don't have a ton of time because we have a zone activity today and we have to practice making brownies for this next week. hahaha the noche en gringolandia is going to be SO fun. we have made invitations for the whole ward and have been going around using it to get references for all of their friends. we all have so much fear of sharing the gospel but this is an activity that is SUPER easy to start, and its all about families because we are just watching a disney movie. plus i get to watch a disney movie so I'm just beyond happy. haha we are going to make hundreds of brownies and cookies so it will just be blast. Anyway, in the missionary work aspect....

Damian is the best investigator ever. he is 29 years old, a dad of 2 little girls, and is such a  stud. he is one of the most intelligent people i have met here but so humble and just gets the gospel. he came to church and is now good friends with the branch president, and they get along super well. His daughter Maierly (My-air-lee) is also going to be baptized with him on the 8th, so we are just so excited. They loved church and felt super good there. the branch president was even giving him a little mini tour and said to the girl, " this will be your dads office in about a year!" haha a LITTLe forward there branch president! But it was super good. We also have Maria Castillo who is a mom and is just so amazing. she had shared with missionaries and we found her in the antiguo list and she has a fecha for the 8th now as well. she couldn't come sunday because she was sick but she already knows everything and just wants to get baptized. so fun. anyway, we are so excited for this week. we invited the assistants and president to stay for the activity because they will be here on friday anyway, so we really hope they stay and talk to our investigators too. its been difficult getting used to a new sector but I've made a special effort to love it just as much as i did coronel. its crazy how even little things like getting to know someones name and REMEMBERING it amazes people. this week at least 5 people have said "how do you remember my name? thats crazy!" haha i was like well theres only 50 of you that go...but no i didn't say that. Anyway its fun being here in victoria now as well. i am back to being myself again and we are just having fun as missionaries. the branch president has cualquier animo (translation... much enthusiasm) and is just being so great. he works with us a lot and is really helping us get this activity up and going. So this next week ill give you the update on that and we will see how the activity goes! Thanks for all your emails and your love. i sure love you all so much and appreciate how even a million miles away i can still feel so loved and taken care of. If there is one thing this week that i have learned, there is a big difference in working and working by the spirit. Cant even count how many times we have prayed in the middle of the street this week, and the next door we knock on is just a golden person who NEEDS us and lets us in before we say anything. like heavenly father just waits to bless us and i don't feel deserving of the success we are starting to see, because we just don't do enough to deserve it. anyway...I'm so blessed. i sure love you all.

Les quiero mucho!
Elder Tengberg

NOS VEMOS!
